The character Patrick Hockstetter has been used in 2 Stephen King novels/movie adaptations but have no connection. The first was in "Firestarter" the second in "IT 2017". The scenes of Patrick using a lighter and a can of aerosol to light flames in the tunnels is a nod to the character in Firestarter.
