(at around 1h 12 mins) The cross that Father Burke uses against the demonic Sister Oana bears a resemblance to that of the cross used in Dracula di Bram Stoker (1992) by the elderly priest in the beginning of the film. Interestingly, both films revolve around the Catholic Faith and have a scene at the beginning where a woman kills herself by jumping from a high position. Also, the suicide at the beginning of the films provides motivation for characters and plot in the films.
