The moon men trying to prevent Bullwinkle from making rocket fuel from mooseberries were Gidney and Cloyd. Their weapon of choice was the Scrooch gun, which would freeze their target for a period of time indicated by a dial on the gun. Unfortunately, the dial was not well calibrated, so someone who was scrooched could be frozen for, say, either ten minutes or ten years.
