The events in the movie are set in 2014, but the "accountants" are shown typing on a Commodore VIC-20 (with the logo blacked out) that is over three decades old. The VIC-20 wasn't capable of the smooth text shown; its screen was limited to 176×184 pixels at its highest resolution. The green-on-black text shown is almost identical to the system screens from The Matrix (1999).
