In the first appearance of the Epsilon IX space station, the faint communications chatter includes a message from Commodore Probert. Andrew Probert was the designer of many of the shooting models of this film, including the refit Enterprise. Although he did not design the Epsilon IX station, he did write the dialog for the communications chatter.
