Bulbasaur, Snivy and Rowlet are the only Grass-type starters owned by Ash that have not evolved: his Chikorita evolved into Bayleef in Pokémon: Goodbye Chicorita!? The Electric Labyrinth! (2001), his Treecko evolved into Grovyle in Pokémon: Critical Situation! Bakuong vs Juptile! (2004) and later into Sceptile Pokémon: Juptile vs. Tropius! Grassland Duel!! (2006) and his Turtwig evolved into Grotle in Pokémon: Naetle, Hayashigame... and Dodaitose! (2008) and then into Torterra in Pokémon: Liftoff! Nagisa Tower!! (2010). Of these, Bayleef is the only one to evolve just once.
