This is the first film in the series where Jason is actually referred to by his full name: Jason Voorhees. In Venerdì 13 (1980), L'assassino ti siede accanto (1981), and Venerdì 13 - Capitolo finale (1984), he is only referred to as Jason, while he is not referred to by name at all in Week-end di terrore (1982).
