Ash has captured a form of each Flying-type Pokémon that players can encounter early in different games in every region: Pidgeotto, Noctowl, Taillow, Starly, Pidove, Fletchling, and Rowlett. Though not all of these Pokémon were captured in their first form, they all evolved into their final forms under Ash's care with the exception of Rowlett, who did not evolve at all, and Noctowl, who was already evolved when Ash captured it and cannot evolve any further.
