When all the main characters are talking in the apartment about the Sweden trip, beside Christian on the fridge is a framed picture of Scarecrow from Il mago di Oz (1939). Scarecrow was afraid of fire as he was made of straw and would burn quickly. This either foreshadows Christian's fate of burning alive surrounded by straw and bodies arranged like scarecrows, or Mark and Josh's fate of being skinned and turned into a straw doll.
