Jeff, the robot, is learning throughout the whole film. At the beginning of the movie, Jeff is talking like a simulated robot, but as the movie progresses he talks better and better because he can hear how Finch pronounces the words. Same with his actions and movements, as the movie goes on, his moves become more human than robot, this way the audience can clearly see that he is learning.
