The Blue Beetle appeared on the show toward the end of its run. He was created by the show's writers, and entirely unrelated to the version owned by Charlton Comics, which had ceased publication and was going through bankruptcy at the time. The Charlton Blue Beetle is now owned by DC Comics, and a new, unrelated Blue Beetle has recently come upon the scene.
