A lot of the cast and crew felt Jonathan Betuel was somewhat of an incompetent director. For example, the production designer would often get frustrated with him because during shooting, Betuel would have a bunch of big, brand new ideas for set pieces and since building sets take time and money, the production designer would have to talk him down.
