Angel Dynamite's character was inspired by the radio D.J. from the cult movie I guerrieri della notte (1979). The shot of the close up whenever she talks into the mic is a shot inspiration that's taken directly from the movie and she even uses the term "boppers" like Lynne Thigpen often uses in the movie.
