All of the talk radio segments in the movie are quotes from the book. During the moving segment in the car, it talks about what is "essential" for adults (bridge, golf, politics and ties). When the Little Girl is studying, the equations are the same as the Businessman from the book when the Little Prince first arrives to his planet. The next morning, when the Mom and Little Girl are getting ready for the day, the radio is talking about the other interruptions the Businessman had which caused errors in his calculations. That's the day the Little Girl's life gets completely interrupted when she goes next door to meet the aviator.
