Sidney Prescott and Samantha Carpenter have one thing in common: Two members of their families were serial killers. Sidney Prescott's maternal older half-brother, Roman Bridger, was the killer in Scream 3 (2000) and Sidney's cousin, Jill Roberts, was one of the killers in Scream 4 (2011). Sam Carpenter's biological father, Billy Loomis, was the original killer in Scream (1996) and Sam's grandmother, Mrs. Loomis, was one of the killers in Scream 2 (1997).
