The military considers using a GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB, commonly known as "Mother of All Bombs"), the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal. The only officially acknowledged operational use of a MOAB took place on April 13th, 2017 against a Taliban stronghold in Afghanistan.
