In season three, two new characters were introduced. Both actor and actress starred in a Superman-related television series and movie: Brandon Routh played Superman in Superman Returns (2006), and Kristin Kreuk played Lana Lang in Smallville (2001). Summer Glau, who was a guest star, voiced Kara Zor-El/ Supergirl in the animated movie Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (2010). Also, Adam Baldwin voiced Clark Kent/Superman in Superman/Doomsday (2007).
