Scenes of Edmund Allenby's Jerusalem headquarters were filmed at the Moorish mansion, Casa de Pilatos, in Seville, Spain. While setting up there, the lighting crew accidentally smashed a centuries old statue. Fortunately, the authorities were appeased, and filming was allowed to continue.
