There are a number of story elements in the film which are shared with the earlier Bond movie 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' (OHMSS) (1969). They are: Bond tells Swann "We have all the time in the world" like Bond told Tracy; music theme excerpts from OHMSS are played throughout; the villain's scheme in both involves biological warfare; the ending is down-beat compared to most Bond movies, a key character dies at the end as Bond prepares to start a new family life; and Louis Armstrong's ''All the time in the World'' theme song is heard during the closing credits.
