This film marks the first time, in universe, where attempts are made to use the Aurabesh language characters in the manner of a stylized Latin alphabet font. With attention given to matching Aurabesh letters with the Latin letters they most resemble and using them accordingly. Hence, DJ wears a cap where the words "Don't Join" almost appear to be written in English. The acronym TIE (for TIE Fighter) also appears prominently in a hologram schematic.
