In Season 1 three songs from German electronic band Tangerine Dream from the 80s were used: Ep. 1.5 (Stranger Things: Chapter Five: The Flea and the Acrobat (2016)), when Hopper (David Harbour) finds the microphone in his home ("Green Desert"), Ep. 1.6 (Stranger Things: Chapter Six: The Monster (2016)), when Steve (Joe Keery) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) fight ("Exit"), Ep. 1.8 (Stranger Things: Chapter Eight: The Upside Down (2016)), in the hospital flashback scene ("Horizon"). Also, Tangerine Dream covered the Stranger Things title theme on their 2017 Album "PARTICLES", playing it regularly on concerts now.
