In the summer of 1994, Billy Madison (1995) was being filmed. Adam Sandler gave his buddy Norm MacDonald a small part in the film. Adam recommended to Bob Simonds, producer of both 'Billy' and "Dirty Work", that he should make a starring vehicle for Norm. Thus, three years later came "Dirty Work".
