Second consecutive back-to-back feature film production of the key creative team of producer Antony I. Ginnane, actor-director David Hemmings, star Robert Powell, and executive producer William Fayman - whose previous picture, 'Harlequin' (1980), released in the same 1980 year that 'The Survivor' (1980) shot, and opened just before the start of the shoot. About around thirty cast and crew personnel worked on both pictures including music composer Brian May, associate producer Jane Scott, script editor Russell Hagg, and costume designer Terry Ryan.
