During 2013 interviews to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), where she played 10-year old Jamie Lloyd, Danielle Harris talked about how she got the role in the Halloween remake and why she decided to do her first on screen nude scene by going topless. She first heard about the role at a horror convention and her manager got her an audition. Harris said convincing Zombie to cast her came down to attitude and a willingness to bare it all. "They asked me how I felt about nudity. I said something stupid like, 'What guy doesn't want to see little Jamie take her clothes off?'" Harris then spent much of the filming topless in front of cast and crew running from Michael Myers. She had no problem with being naked in front of everyone because she felt it helped achieve the right level of vulnerability for her character. As it turns out, nudity was also a major part of her planned reinvention. "It was a strategic move on my part. I was facing the challenge of being taken seriously as an adult actor because I was still 'little Jamie Lloyd' (from Halloween 4) to most people. Doing a hardcore Rob Zombie Halloween film was for sure a no brainer." She added that taking her top off and running around with her breasts exposed also seemed like a great way to prove she wasn't a little girl anymore. And it worked. "All of the sudden Jamie Lloyd had boobs, so I was no longer Jamie Lloyd. I think it made other producers and writers and studios go, 'OK, she's pretty cute. OK, wow, she's got boobs.' So they started thinking of me in a different way, and then I started getting offers for different things. I'm not sure if it was my performance or exposing my breasts, but as long as I was working and doing what I loved, I don't really care which one it was."
