Though it is widely believed that Blanche's age is never actually revealed, in Cuori senza età : Mother's Day (1988), it is admitted in a flashback that Blanche was 17 in 1939. That would make her 63 years old when the series began in 1985 and 70 when it ended in 1992. However, in the episode "End of the Curse" (season 2 episode 1), Blanche, believing she is pregnant, states she will be 65 when the child graduates high school. Sophia corrects her by saying Blanche will be 70. Subtracting 18 (the age at which many graduate HS) from 65 would make Blanche 47 at that moment. If Sophia was correct, then taking 18 from 70 would put Blanche at 52. In real life, Rue McClanahan was actually 52 when this particular episode aired. The whole math problem is wrong. She was revealed to be 17 in 1949 not 1939, which means she'd be 10 years younger than what the person was calculating. So 52/53 makes more sense
