The Seaview Terrace, as presented as Collinwood on this series, later influenced the Kingston Mansion, shown in both the opening and closing credits of the first season of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (1969) and featured in that show's episode, What the Hex Going On? (1969). The villain's monster costume in that episode looks remarkably similar to Barnabas Collins, complete with an Inverness cloak and hair bangs, but with blue-green skin. He is not portraying himself as a vampire, however, but rather as a ghost of the original owner of the manor.
