The reason why the program was canceled is because Disney Chanel considered that the program was much more tuned by teenagers and adults, something alien to the audience that the show sought to obtain. At first Jake was 13 years old while at the end of the series he is 16 years old so he did not approve a third season because he considered that the character had already matured.
