No one told Stephen Fanning that he was fired from the Billy role. He just showed up one Monday for his shooting schedule and Andrew Shue was sitting in his dressing room. This was according to Grant Show who spoke at the 2019 ABC/Good Morning America Melrose Place Reunion along with the rest of the cast. Andrew Shue was shocked to hear Show say this at the reunion cast interview; he had no idea that was how the transition played out. "Well I guess I owe Stephen Fanning an apology then," he said.
