After the commercial and critical failure of the previous incarnation of the franchise: Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! (2006), which diverged greatly from the traditional Scooby-Doo format, the executives decided to cleave closer to the original formula of Scooby-Doo, dove sei tu? (1969).
