Diana at first requires airplanes for aerial travel (including one that she makes invisible, using the power of Zeus), before discovering her own ability to fly like Superman. In the early comics and Wonder Woman (1975) TV show, Diana could not fly, and would often travel in the specialized invisibility jet. Then in a 1987 comics reboot, Diana was given the ability to fly under her own power, which has been retained in a few other incarnations since then.
