Anthony Hopkins worked with director Richard Attenborough in five films. Several other actors who have worked with David Lynch have also worked with Attenborough, either as a director or an actor. John Gielgud appeared in Oh che bella guerra! (1969) and Gandhi (1982) (both of which Attenborough directed), and Il fattore umano (1979), Hamlet (1996), and Elizabeth (1998) (in which he acted). Anne Bancroft and Hopkins appeared in Gli anni dell'avventura (1972). Hopkins also appeared in Charlot - Chaplin (1992), which also featured Moira Kelly and David Duchovny, who appeared in Fuoco cammina con me (1992) and the I segreti di Twin Peaks (1990)/Twin Peaks: il ritorno (2017) television series, respectively. Ian Abercrombie, who appeared on Twin Peaks and in Inland Empire - L'impero della mente (2006), appeared in Il mondo perduto - Jurassic Park (1997). Laura Dern, one of Lynch's most frequent collaborators, appeared in the original Jurassic Park (1993) opposite Attenborough.
