For shots in which the dog puts its rear end up, as if ready to play or pounce, this was a cued "bow" behavior. For shots in which the dog drinks out of the toilet, a dog bowl was placed inside the toilet, and the dog was cued to drink from it. For shots in which Marley is in the bathtub, the tub was lined with traction grip mats for safe footing. For shots in which Marley is near the fireplace, trainers kept the dog a safe distance from the fire and felt its fur to make sure it was not too warm.
