Its not a coincidence that this 20th Century Fox film chose The Sun newspaper, and Sky News as the relevant UK news outlets. At the time, all 3 were owned by News Corporation, with The Sun, considered as a "lower class" tabloid newspaper, providing an intriguing juxtaposition between Eggsy and Harry. Sky News (UK version) was the 24 hour rolling news channel on the Sky satellite network, originally aimed at the UK and Europe. In the next sequel, the tv news source would be Fox News (USA), at the time, also owned by the Murdoch family.
