The San Francisco earthquake caused the real Sarah to be stuck in the "Daisy" room where she was sleeping, so named because of the motif. She was in the room for several hours and had to be dug out by staff because the entrance was blocked by rubble. This was the last time she ever slept at the Winchester House.
