The Upside Down world shares many similarities to the video game Zeruda no densetsu Towairaito purinsesu (2006). The floating snow-like flakes are very similar to the game as well as the generally darker colours in the Twilight realm. In addition the monster has remarkable similarities to the Shadow Beasts which are found in the game, also in the Twilight Realm.
