When Kranti was complete Manoj Kumar wanted to get the prints of the film from Japan and said that he himself go to Japan, people wondered how will he reach Japan as he doesnt travel by air and passenger ships were not available for Japan, so Manoj Kumar and his assistant took the negetives and travel by train to somewhere, when he reached there he handed over the negatives to veteran sound recordist Mangesh Desai who flew to Japan and the prints came back in the same way.
