The 1967 Chevy Camaro on the poster and DVD covers is likely a reference to "Vanishing Point (1971) which features prominently the 1970 Dodge Challenger, a similar car driven by the girls in the film's second half. At the climax of "Vanishing Point" the Challenger is wrecked. However, when looking at the wrecked car during that film's closing credits, it's easy to spot that the Challenger was replaced by a destroyed 1967 Chevy Camaro painted white to resemble the car driven by Vanishing Point's lead character, Kowalski.
