Several connections to Canada, mostly Montreal, can be noticed in this movie: 1. The Zamboni scene, a reference to hockey, a game founded in Canada (a Canadian flag can be seen), as the Sharks play once a year in Montreal, against the Canadiens. 2. In Ed's father's hotel room, there is a bottle of Seagram's whiskey, whose head office was in Montreal and were at the time, part shareholders of Universal Studios, which produced the movie.
