In the first meeting between Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard, judge Angelo Poletti's scorecard had been inaccurately announced as 147-147, as portrayed in the movie (giving a majority decision to Duran). A few hours later, the score was rectified as 148-147 in favor of Duran, giving him a unanimous decision winner.
