The ambulance uniform crest worn by the actors are topped with blue backed crowns, the same as the crown insignia worn by Police Scotland and Metropolitan Police Seevice superintendents and chief officers, unique amongst the UK Police Services. The Scottish Ambulance Service crest and uniform epaulettes have red backed crowns the same as all other police services.
