Samuel L. Jackson and Philip Seymour Hoffman previously appeared in the TV episode Law & Order - I due volti della giustizia: The Violence of Summer (1991), which was Hoffman's first acting credit. They had one scene together - the final courtroom scene, in which neither of them had any lines. Since they have no shared scenes in this film, the "Law & Order" episode would be their only on-screen appearance together.
