Turaga Dume makes a passing reference to a so-called "Great Contest" when he entrusts Vakama with creating the Mask of Time. This contest gets no further mention in the movie and is never seen, although the novelization very briefly describes a scene in which the Matoran play a fictional sport called Akilini in the Coliseum arena, just before Vakama and his Toa team make their entrance. In the movie, the arena is empty when the Toa arrive.
