In the movie, Axel wears a Detroit Lions jacket with the number "67" on the sleeves. At the time of the movie's release, no one on the Lions wore that number. However, from 1981-1985, the number was worn by Don Greco, an offensive lineman. Greco was not a noteworthy player so whether the costume department deliberately picked the number or just chose it at random is unknown.
