It mirrors Obi-Wan Kenobi's role from Il ritorno dello Jedi (1983), where he appears as a Jedi ghost two times: the first to reveal Luke's relation with Leia and the second to salute him at a distance in Endor's forest, together with Yoda and Darth Vader, turned again into Anakin Skywalker.
