The events of this series started in 1868. Although it did not have any other stories about the US transcontinental railroad, the final episode brought the story to 5/10/1869 at Promontory Point, UT, for the Wedding of the Rails, where they were joined from east to west. The meeting engines, Jupiter and 119, slowly crept forward until their noses touched. Announcing the accomplishment was the transmission of a one-word telegram: "Done."
