When the trio first arrive at Scarlet Overkill's castle, one makes fun of the romance by turning his back and wrapping his hands around his sides so it appears he is kissing someone. This is a nod to the "fake-out make-out" trick used by James Bond in Agente 007 - Una cascata di diamanti (1971).
