At the end of the series, John Henry removes Cameron's CPU and travels to the future. If the series hadn't been canceled and if there had been a 3rd and 4th season, it is likely in the alternate future war, John finds John Henry and gets back Cameron's CPU. However, another version of Cameron from that timeline is programmed to kill John, but fails. Instead of destroying Cameron, John removes that version of Cameron's CPU and replaces it with the one that John Henry removed from the original Cameron which Cameron reactivates and now that it has a new Terminator Endoskeleton, it is possible that Cameron would continue to act as John's bodyguard and would willingly aid the Human Resistance against Skynet.
