Colin Farrell previously played the secondary villain, Bullseye, in Daredevil (2003). Ben Affleck, who portrayed Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the former film, is Robert Pattinson's direct predecessor in the Batman role. Farrell once again plays the secondary villain, The Penguin, to Pattinson's Batman in this film.
