The various theatrical trailers for the movie contain many scenes not present in the final film, such as Wendy knocking down John's Napoleon puppet, Wendy asking Hook "Why do you hate him so?" with Hook retorting "Do you remember your mother?", sword fights and other Black Castle scenes viewed from different angles, and Peter flying closer to the window to pick up Wendy. There are also major differences in the colorization of many scenes, a shot of Hook confronting the fairy guide in the forest without the actual digital addition of this figure, and a computer-generated introduction to the Jolly Roger pirate ship stuck in the ice which was completely redone for the theatrical release. All of these give the distinct impression of trailer editors using early rushes or dailies while a lot of post-production work still had to be done.
