A kissing scene between Carol (Brie Larson) and Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) was filmed but later scrapped, because the screenwriters thought it would be demeaning for such a powerful character like Carol Danvers. Also, there were some concerns whether it would glorify sexual assault in work. However, a line from the scene was kept in the film ("You kiss like a horse") which can heard when Carol is sent to a memory trance by the Supreme Intelligence (Annette Bening).
